The first canvas is filled with dense verticals of red, yellow, blue and green. Andriana cut the painting out of the second one with a utility knife, leaving an empty stretcher that looks like the cross of a window frame.

About the series
Five diptychs from 2024. Each has two canvases: one is left intact, and Andriana damaged the other with a real instrument of destruction: a shotgun, fire, a cleaver, a hammer or a knife. The series grew out of the experience of war and is a reminder that everything can change in an instant. It has been shown at the European Parliament, the Design Museum of Barcelona and Lviv railway station.
